Ever gone shopping and bought a
big pile of clothes only to return half
of them in the next week? When you pull out the clothes from the
shopping bag, have you ever wondered how you came to buy those clothes
in the first place? This is not an imaginary or hypothetical situation.
This happens to a lot of women who go shopping alone or sometimes in a
group with friends. You walk into a showroom with the firm resolution
that unlike the previous shopping trips, you will buy nothing that you
would regret later. And the next thing you know, the person at the
counter pulls out a beautiful chiffon dress in a soft pink and tells you
“Madam, why don’t you just take a look at this? No compulsion to buy.
Just try it once.” And when you very reluctantly try it out, secretly
planning to reject it all the time, your friends exclaim “Oh wow! That
dress is so perfect on you!” and the act is done. Later you look at the
pink dress at home and wonder why you ever bought it when you knew that
pink was not your colour......
