 Kanchipuram silk saree is famous for its temple patterned border along with bright contrasting colors.The patterns and designs in the kanchipuram saree were inspired with nature or images and scriptures in South Indian temples. These  saree contain rich woven pallu showing paintings of Raja Ravi Varma and epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana.
